FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
I’m sorry but what is a shrub?!?
Siren Shrubs are a concentrate best served as an accompaniment to sparkling water, splashed into your favorite cocktail or mocktail, simply added to water, or poured and sipped over ice.
How did you come up with this?
We’ve spent many hours perfecting flavors we can be proud of but this magical concentrate has been around WAY longer than we have dating back to the 16th century.
How can I get my hands on a bottle?
How do I find wholesale information?
What do you do with Siren Shrubs?
How many drinks can I make from one bottle?
It depends on your desired taste but typically each bottle will get you 8-10 beverages.
How long do Siren Shrubs stay good and do they need to be refrigerated?
Siren Shrubs will keep for 24 months unopened and unrefrigerated. Once opened, we recommend keeping them in the fridge. They will be good for another 9-12 months once opened.
What flavors do you make?
Door County Tart Cherry and Maple Ginger are available year round and then we have limited-run, seasonal flavors including Basil and Currant.
Are Siren Shrubs Certified Organic?
No. Each Siren Shrub highlights at least one locally sourced ingredient and we choose Certified Organic when we can. We believe that personal relationships with producers can strengthen and build a local food value chain and that ingredient transparency is essential. Here is a breakdown of our ingredients:
Apple Cider Vinegar - Organic
Cane Sugar - Organic
Maple Syrup - Local (Tapped Maple Syrup)
Basil - Organic and Local (Whitefeather Organics)
Cherries - Local (Seaquist Orchards)
Currants - Local (Highland Valley Farm)
Ginger - Organic
Is shrub a health drink?
We get this question a lot. Since Siren Shrubs contain added sugar we promote them as a treat while recognizing that apple cider vinegar has a lot of amazing properties and many people swear by its healing powers. We are proud that Siren Shrubs highlight just three simple, straightforward ingredients in every bottle.
Who will enjoy drinking Siren Shrubs?
This is not even an exaggeration; kids, great grandmas, uncles, brothers, sisters, partners, friends, and dare we say the vinegar skeptics have loved our product. We know because we have put in the hours and tested the market.
Where are Siren Shrubs produced?
All flavor explorations happen in our own home “test” kitchens in or near Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Once perfected, recipes and ingredients make their way to the team at the Wisconsin Innovation Kitchen where Siren Shrubs (that make it into your hands) are made.
